Questions about Crumbs/Videos/Streams

What’s your upload schedule?

NOTE: This is subject to change due to the unpredictability of chronic health conditions and life in general. I will update this on a regular basis.

Currently, I update my Crumbs of Wisdom series on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, on this website and my social media. I have plans to upload videos regularly either on a weekly or bi-weekly basis on a Thursday. I'm currently taking a brief break from streaming on Twitch every Tuesday and Thursday but plan to start again soon.

What programs do you use?

For my artwork and illustrations I use Procreate on my iPad. It’s handy (pun not intended) when I have bad pain days and can’t leave my bed so easily! I also have experience in Photoshop, Illustrator and Clip Paint Studio and I have used all the above programs for animating scenes and gifs as well.

Are the pigeon characters based off of anyone?

All of them were created to personify some of my key moods, so I suppose you could say they’re all based off of me

I’m still exploring them as their own characters but I’ve given them many of my traits in order to explore them when I first started my therapy art:

Salty- anger issues/irritability, sensory overload from loud noises and touch, flat demeanour

Sweet- strong daydreamer, sleepy, quiet

Sugar- Chronic pains, anxiety, hyperfocus,

Spice- Lack of focus, euphoria/adrenaline, rambler, comedic, impulsive

Questions about Me

What are your pronouns?

Thank you for asking! I am a cis woman with she/her pronouns.

What IS it with you and pigeons?

I just think they’re neat!

Are you a qualified mental health expert?

Aaaabsolutely not. I am by no means qualified in any mental health field and therefore am not someone that you should rely on for expert advice or information regarding medication, therapy, counselling, what have you.

I am just sharing my own personal journey in mental health and self care in the hopes that it’ll help start a conversation and encourage people to look after themselves and prioritise their mental health more. It would be irresponsible of me to claim to be an expert on subjects such as this so I want to get that out there right away!

What’s your personal experience with mental health?

In a nutshell, it’s coming to terms with a very overdue autism diagnosis, an ADHD diagnosis and learning about how these symptoms manifest and how I can work with them rather than against them. As a neurodivergent kid that just kind of slipped through the cracks, I kind of have to learn a lot of things on my own and come to terms with the fact that while I didn’t get the help I needed back then, it’s not too late for me. I also came to terms with the fact that I’m not the only one this happened to and that this will probably continue to happen to others for a long time to come. If there’s any little good I can make out of this, it’s that I can use my work to help those in my position feel a lot less alone.
